Butterfly House Field Trip, 2008

Last summer we took a great field trip to Sioux Falls where we spent time at the Sertoma Butterfly House....looks like Luann has found a new friend. We also went to an Art in the Park venue down by the river, then ate at Sanna's at 8th and Railroad Center. Despite a downpour on the way home, a great time was had by all.

State Convention Highlights

ESA's State Convention was held this past weekend in Yankton, SD. Alpha Lambda had several members in attendance. The overall attendance for the convention was 80, including the 5 DESA young ladies from our chapter. Our DESA girls were delightful and helpful throughout the convention and represented themselves well. Their Friday night skit showed the state members just what they had been up to this past year.

Alpha Lambda members performed a skit on Friday night, too, to introduce Carol King to the state membership. Carol was running for Vice President and was elected on Saturday. Our skit showed the many "hats" Creative Carol wears. She was installed Saturday night in a lovely ceremony.

Alpha Lambda was recoginized for several awards/events from the past year. Thelma Raines was commended for our philanthropic hours, with special comments for the variety of projects that were offered. Our educational programs were also recognized. More information and updates will follow at our next meeting.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha....Alpha Lambda, Vermillion, SD

Welcome to Alpha Lambda's new website!! We will be trying this venue for a while to see if it fits the needs of the chapter. All comments and suggestions are welcome as we try to create a website that works for us.
